Bio Diesel

It is our goal to help conserve our natural resources by using at least 20% (and hopefully much more) Bio Diesel from truly recycled products (from used vegetable oil, not products grown for this purpose) in our trucks by the end of 2009. Bio Diesel is an environmentally friendly, renewable resource and some studies show it produces 80% less carbon dioxide and 100% less sulfur emissions than traditional fuels. It is as biodegradable as sugar and less toxic than table salt.

Recycling Construction Waste

We work with contractors and vendors to recycle concrete and wood debris from building demolition to keep these things out of our landfills. Yard waste is taken to facilities that make compost, beauty bark and hog fuel. Concrete chunks are crushed up and reused as a fill material on construction sites and for driveways.

Contaminated Soil Recycling

Petroleum contaminated soil from old gas stations and repair shops is a big problem. We work with a facility that safely and legally recycles this matter into a usable resource.

Sales of Recycled Products

We sell crushed concrete, asphalt grindings, and crushed glass. These products have many great uses, including construction fill and a lasting and compactable driveway material. Glass comes in many colors, and can also used to provide a unique landscape look.

Better Office practices

We recycle all of our paper waste and ink cartridges. We try to buy recycled products, print using double sided copying, use electronic & paperless communications and use less when possible. We use compact florescent bulbs and put our computers into energy saving sleep mode when not in use.
